Art, Christmas, and Distressing

Good morning, peeps - woke up with a headache today, not a fun way to start the day.  :(  AND we are waiting for a snowstorm - which absolutely cracks me up.  We had a big snowstorm on Halloween and then we didn't get hardly any snow at all for the rest of the Winter.  Now we're going to get a half foot.  Too funny.  I'll take the snow day, though!  I got me some new Dilly Beans images that are just screaming to be colored!  :)

We have a new challenge for you over at:

Our sponsor this week is The Greeting Farm, and the prize is the image I used to create my ATC with, Toby the Painter.  Come play along with us!

Next - this is for the:

I like the idea of making some Christmas cards throughout the year, maybe then I won't be so overwhelmed in November/December!  I used cardstock, ribbon, button, and some retired DP from Stampin' Up!  My Sassy Studio image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, and the sentiment is from TLC.

And last for today - this is for the:

I had fun making this cute card - I used Cheeky Shooter from The Greeting Farm (an actual rubber stamp - GASP! LOL), I stamped her in dark brown ink to match the DP - which is from My Mind's Eye, and I only colored her scarf, left the rest uncolored.  I added some vintage brads and spritzed the whole thing with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz and dragged the image through a dark brown ink pad.

Have a good day, my friends.  Thanks for leaving me such nice comments, I really enjoy each and every one of them.  xoxo   Peace.

Life

Isn't life funny?  I can't believe how much things can change in such a short time... I am getting really excited about the future and the rest of my life.  I'm so proud of Trev for joining the Army - he has been accepted but has to go to Westover Air Force base on Thursday to take the ASVAB and have his physical - that's the final step, and then he'll get a date for boot camp.  And we're planning our move to California - which Cass is actually excited about.  Which makes ME even more excited.  I have so much on my mind and I'm sure I'll be blogging about it all later.  But I  have to go get my coffee now so here's what you get for today!  :)

For the:
AND

I colored my TOF image with Prismacolor markers.  DP is from SU!  Sentiment is a sticker from SRM Stickers.

Next - this is for the:

I colored my Dilly Beans Girl with Butterflies image with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, and glitter.  Cardstock, DP, and ribbon from SU!

Next - this is for the:

AND

I was lucky enough to grab this adorable Simply Betty while she was available in DIGI FORM last weekend - so psyched.  I colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  I used some watered-down paints on my glossy white cardstock and cut it into strips.  I then spritzed the entire thing with Pink Glimmer Mist and Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.  Ribbon and buttons are from my stash.
Peace.

A Mixture

Trev is off with his Army recruiter to get his transcripts from high school today, then schedule his overnight trip to the Air Force base to do his ASVAB test and physical.  He's getting really excited about this, I am wishing so hard that it all works out!

I have a few things to share with you today - first is my journal page for the:

I used images from Tiddly Inks, Beyond the Fringe, and some freebie vintage digi images.  I spritzed my page with lots of sprays to get that drippy look.  I used Pearl Ex with water on a paint brush for the dress form with wings.

Next up - this is for the:

I used one of their freebie images, and I paper-pieced it with 3 different papers.  My DP is from Stampin' Up!  Buttons and ribbon are from my stash.

Next... this is for the:

I love this image from A Day for Daisies - I colored with Prismacolor markers, Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  DP is from My Mind's Eye - ribbon and sticker gems are from my stash.

It's also my day to post over at Just Some Lines - I posted a couple of ATC's, head on over there to see the other one:
This is Emo Piper Sitting, along with a sentiment from Tracey Brossart.

AND....  we have a new challenge for you at:
The Cheerful Stamp Pad - Land of Fantasy

Since we're sponsored by Michelle Perkett, this theme is just perfect.  Head on over to see the rest of the DT's creations and to play along with us!
Have a fabulous week!
Peace.
